Penwith Business Back Local Youth Enterprise at Charity Dinner!|
Over two hundred local businesses from across Penwith eagerly packed into the Tregenna Castle hotel, St Ives to attend the Penwith Charity Dinner on 24th January. Organised by Penwith District Council, the event attracted major sponsorship from Peninsula Enterprise (Business Link), Headland Printers and Tregenna Castle hotel and many other local businesses who donated prizes for the charity auction which was held on the night in aid of the charity, Young Enterprise. . . .

The Audit Commission has published the Annual Audit and Inspection Letter for Penwith District Council which provides an independent assessment of how the Council performed duing 2006/07. . . .

Council's Response to Severe Storms|
11 March 2008.
Severe storms tested the emergency procedures put in place for such events by Penwith District Council. The severe weather was predicted by the Met Office and the emergency system for the whole of Cornwall was activated and put in place on Sunday, 9 March 2008. . . .

Deadline for Responses to Hayle and Penzance Issues and Options, Area Action Plans Extended|
04 March 2008.
In response to public demand, with the full agreement of senior Councillors, the deadline for responses to the Issues and Options Area Action Plans for Hayle and Penzance has been extended to Monday 31 March 2008. To-date, over 300 individual responses have been received, with more arriving on a daily basis. . . .
